What do I pay before moving in?

The first month’s rent and the security deposit, plus maintenance if the property charges it. Every listing shows the full breakdown before you commit, including what recurs each month.

Do I get my deposit back?

Accepted Answer

Yes, less anything agreed at checkout. The owner records a video inspection and must produce evidence for any deduction within a fixed window — they cannot add claims afterwards. Anything you do not dispute is released without the owner having to approve it.

What if I need to cancel?

You will see exactly what comes back before you confirm. The closer to move-in, the less is refundable, and each property publishes its own tiers. If the owner cancels, you are refunded in full.

Can I see the place first?

Book a visit from any listing, in person or over video. The owner confirms a slot and you get a code to show on arrival.

What does the trust score mean?

A score out of 100 built from fifteen things we can measure — verification, how quickly the owner replies, how complaints are handled, whether advertised availability matches the actual beds. Every listing shows the breakdown, not just the number, and a new property is not marked down for having no history yet.

How much notice do I give before leaving?

Whatever the property states, shown on every listing before you book. Giving notice fixes your last day at that moment, so a later change to the property’s terms cannot move it.

Is the exact address shown?

The area and locality, yes. The street and number are shared once your booking or visit is confirmed.
